Stereotypes In Media

This Ad shows a woman driving a mini automatic car. The overt message of this ad is that there is a lady who have her face extremely close to the wheel, and her eyes  opened wide staring in the direction she is traveling.  Her nervous facial expression is made even more obvious by the way she bites her lips and grips both hands around the wheel. The ad is titled "For simple driving" but the lady's body language obviously contradicts the title.  This is definitely a gender stereotype ad because it implies that women are not as competent behind the wheel as their male counterparts. If there was a guy in this picture, they would have made him look confident behind the wheel.  The ad's objective is to attract more of a laid back audience but stereotypes against women to demonstrate their point.
