This Ad shows a woman
driving a mini automatic car. The overt message of this ad is that there is a
lady who have her face extremely close to the wheel, and her eyes opened
wide staring in the direction she is traveling. Her nervous facial expression
is made even more obvious by the way she bites her lips and grips both hands
around the wheel. The ad is titled "For simple driving" but the
lady's body language obviously contradicts the title. This is definitely
a gender stereotype ad because it implies that women are not as competent
behind the wheel as their male counterparts. If there was a guy in this
picture, they would have made him look confident behind the wheel. The
ad's objective is to attract more of a laid back audience but stereotypes against
women to demonstrate their point.

Why Should You Choose M&M's over Starbursts!
M&M’s are the best candy because
they are not sticky, it is proven to make you happy and because it is made with
real chocolate! Candies that are not that sticky makes it better for the
consumer to enjoy it without their hands and mouth becoming a mess. Many people
prefer candies that are not sticky so that you can eat them without worrying
about having sticky hands. Chocolates are also proven to make people happy. When eating a lot of
chocolate it becomes addicting because of the sweet and rich flavor. When you
eat chocolate it improves your mood, the sensations distract you from whatever’s
making you upset. M&M’s are proven to be made with real milk chocolate and
has zero trans fat. This makes the
chocolate healthier because it is not made of artificial flavors. People who
have a more nutritious diet will prefer M&M's because of the fact that they are made from
real chocolate. If you are looking for a flavorful, tasty chocolate treat,
choose M&M’s!
Advocates of Starbursts
claim that their candy is better because of the intense flavors. Even though
there may be so many flavors such as strawberry, banana, orange, raspberry, and kiwi; they
are becoming old. After eating something over and over the taste becomes boring to the consumer and they would want to try something different. M&M’s are amazing because they also have many flavors
and not only milk chocolate, they include dark chocolate, crisped rice, mint chocolate, peanuts, almonds, orange chocolate, coconut, pretzel, wild cherry, cinnamon, raspberry, and peanut butter. If you notice they are not all sweet flavors they are flavors that anyone can enjoy with out getting diabetes from consuming so much sugar.

Should Students Textbooks be replaced with Laptops?
Studies
show that every year, millions of young students develop back problems due to
the vast amount weight of their backpacks. When you take a look in the average
students backpack the majority of this weight is from heavy textbooks and
notebooks. Not only focusing on the weight of the books that the students a
loaded down with every day, but with the amount of paper used to create these
books and notebooks. Millions of trees are cut down just to make workbooks and
textbooks for schools. While students continue to have severe back pains at
early ages, the technology world has developed in exceedingly creating compact,
light, laptops; some weighing as little as two pounds. After this will we
continue to place the strain on the growing backs of students? Or should
schools consider replacing the heavy textbooks and notebooks with lighter
portable laptops?
The
heavy weight of a backpack often causes long-term health issues and back pain
for students. Asides from notebooks and binders, students also have to carry
pencils, pens, and spare paper. And let’s not forget that many students bring
lunch from home. The weight all adds up. The average high school student’s
backpack weights between ten and twenty-five pounds, while the average laptop
weights between three and eight pounds. Having a laptop in your backpack
instead of overweighed textbooks can definitely make a difference.
Switching from textbooks and notebooks to laptops will lessen the loads on our backs and it has many other benefits. The only question left is; can they rise to the occasion? Definitely, if students truly want to replace textbooks and notebooks with laptops, they will have to show responsibility to earn them.

Family Time 'Matters'!!
This advertisement is for the ‘National Family Week’. The background of this ad is a picture of a cemetery, which symbolizes death or burial. When relating to the written text, this simply illustrates that your life is uncertain and you can pass away any day, hence, we should make the very best of each and every day spent with your family. No matter how much you have on your plate, your family should always remain your biggest priority and your family should be the one that you spend the most time with. Once you pass death, there is absolutely no turning back. Demonstrated here is a perfect example of Pathos, whereby the narrator encourages the reader to form a close bond with their family, while they have an opportunity to do so. The authors’ primarily focus of this ad is geared towards parents. I state this because in the average household, parents are the ones’ who really don’t have time for their family primarily as a result of their busy schedules. The kids in this situation are not really the main problem because there are less demands and responsibilities in their daily routines. Family Time matters!!
